“A true Yogini is an enlightened, independent, outspoken, forthright woman with exuberant passion, deep insight, spiritual power, and gracefulness of spirit. The Yogini possesses the power of Yoga herself and awakens that in others. To be Yogini is the way to become one with the Goddess within and to bring Her out in unique expression to uplift the world. It is not her outer appearance, but a woman’s state of inner energy and ecstasy that makes the Yogini.” ~Yogini Shambhavi Chopra |
Coaching and yoga are both present-based practices of inward focus; personal change; powerful transformation; deep self-awareness and mindset consciousness; self-discovery; healing; self-integration; inner-wisdom; and consistent, self-informed, skillful action aligned with a individual’s authentic truth (both known and newly discovered). Coaching combined with yoga, as a unified healing practice, offers a powerful tool for an individual’s emotional, intellectual, mental, spiritual, and physical/material evolution, which, in their totality or some combination, are the very reasons people come to yoga and/or coaching for in the first place: to achieve some form of meaningful and powerful transformation and evolution for themselves, in their lives, and for their living.
As a certified professional coach and registered yoga teacher, I have combined yoga/meditation/breathwork instruction with the techniques of health/wellness coaching to offer a unified healing practice to those seeking a more comprehensive and holistic approach to their personal growth, health and wellness, professional development, life advancement, and overall spiritual evolution. Through my unique perspective of ‘yoga and coaching as a unified healing practice,’ my yoga & wellness clients holistically receive “enlightenment for your mind, healing for your body, illumination of your spirit, and transformation for your life!”
I completed the Blue Heron Wellness Yoga Teacher Training Program and maintain the RYT200 credential with Yoga Alliance. With training in alignment, pranayama/breathwork, assists/adjustments/modifications, anatomy & physiology, and energetics, I teach beginning, advanced beginning, and intermediate yoga in the Hatha Yoga style, with an emphasis on integrating breathing and meditation with asana practice to ensure students and clients receive a holistic benefit from their yoga practice physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I especially enjoy the honor of bringing those new to the practice into yoga and bringing yoga philosophy and practice to individuals and communities who have yet to discover yoga’s personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Having practiced, trained and/or studied with established yoga teachers including: Lauren Richardson, Carrie Ganz, Jenny Otto, Laura Bradford, and Kathy Page, I currently maintain my own yoga and meditation practice as I continue my life-long study and advancement in yoga through continuing education workshops, retreats, and trainings.
I teach private yoga sessions; community yoga classes; yoga festival workshops; and studio classes at local gyms, yoga studios, community centers, and yoga events. I am also available to teach individual and group yoga sessions for special events; as well as to facilitate/lead yoga & wellness retreats, group/community/workplace yoga classes, and/or offer health/wellness coaching services for individuals and groups.
