Transition, change, evolution: these are consistent and constant in all our lives.
Of course ‘consistent and constant’ may seem a bit redundant of a description but that just goes to show how much and how deep transition, change, and evolution are embedded in, even as, the very nature of our lives and living.
We are always changing.
We are always in transit.
We are always evolving.
All of us!
Of course the consistency and constancy of transition, change, and evolution in all of our lives has little to do with how easy being in the midst of it all can be for any one of us. In fact, for any one of us, being in the midst of change, in the transition space, evolving from this state to that, is not easy at all. And to get us from here to there on our life journeys, whole, complete, and sane, requires more — often from ourselves and certainly from sources outside of ourselves.
There’s a reason why we say: ‘Prayer changes things!’
With all the tools I use to support me through all my transitions as my life evolves forward, prayer is one I turn to early and often. I have found that not only does prayer change things, but I have experienced how prayer changes things, for me. Prayer quiets and stills a troubled mind. Prayer brings clarity and comfort to my spirit when it is cluttered and unsettled. Prayer eases. Prayer soothes. Prayer connects. Prayer brings peace and positivity. Prayer opens me up to receive. Prayer creates space for me to ask the questions that bring forth the answers I need. Prayer energizes me for the journey. Prayer keeps me faithful and positively expecting. Prayer connects me to the source of my inner wisdom and power – the Divine Goddess within. Prayer elevates my vibrational energy and heightens my awareness to be able to recognize the signs and symbols through which the Goddess speaks in response to the prayers I offer up to Her. Prayer invites Her in to bless, strengthen, empower, elevate, protect, guide, and direct me through all my transitions as I evolve along my life journey.
Yes, the power in prayer is not just in what it does but in how it does what it does.
So, for all of you in the midst of your own transitions, changes, or evolutions, I offer this: a faithful prayer for the transitioner in that space in-between, the liminal space; a prayer for all those no longer back there but not quite yet over there. While I refer to my higher source, my Divinity, as Goddess, I recognize prayer is a very personal thing. So I humbly and respectfully invite you to insert your own reference for your higher power, as well as any other changes, to make this prayer one that speaks to your own heart, honors your own knowing, and elevates your own spirit:
“Dear Goddess,
I need you.
I invite you to speak to me.
Show me in signs, symbols and language I can see, feel, hear and understand clearly, fully what it is I must do next; the steps I must take to manifest my desires for my life.
Help me to see and live beyond the fears that hold me back and keep me stuck. Help me to see that what I fear in this unknown territory that I am in, and that lies before me (which I called into being), is not the unknown territory at all but merely my own projections and fears from past experiences.
I release the need to relive my past anymore.
Help me to free myself into my future. Help me to see myself into this unknown territory of living my dreams – happy, thriving, prosperous, abundant, loving, joyful, serving, giving, meaningful, purposed, successful, healing – at peace. Help me to release myself from what holds me back from living life fully forward, faithfully, boldly, powerfully; from becoming all that I am. Help me to know and understand what my next steps are and help me reach into myself for the faith, wisdom, strength, and power to take those steps, moving courageously forward to manifest the life I truly want; the life that is my intended testimony to the world; the life that gives voice to the Soul.
In the asking, I know am seeding, manifesting, believing, and receiving. I open myself up fully to the answers already organized and prepared for me for this time, for this very moment; waiting for me to bring them forth by simply asking the question; by making the request.
This is my prayer, my invitation to you, my Goddess – within which lies the universe of all unlimited possibility; which organizes itself for me and for my highest good – to speak to me, speak life into me, to speak me into life.
Amen.
Ashe.
And so it is!”
Be prayerful.
Be faithful.
Be open.
Be receiving.
BE…ILLUMINED!
How can a prayer change things for you?
