We’ve all heard the saying:
“You’re just not my cup of tea.”
And the truth is: you’re not. And the other truth is: you’re not supposed to be. You’re just simply not going to be everyone’s cup of tea because, simply, you were never meant to be.
And, besides, what you’ve got in your cup is coffee anyway!
You were intended to drink from your own cup; to know your own flavor; to love, honor, respect, and enjoy the taste of you that you leave in your own mouth.
So when what you’ve got in your cup is coffee and there are folks around you who prefer tea, do you change the flavor of what’s in your cup in order to satisfy their thirst? Or do you find some coffee lovin’ folks to surround yourself with?
Whatever you choose, know that what everyone else prefers to drink (your tea, someone else’s tea, or a drink altogether different) does not have to be of any more consequence for you than you choose to make it.
Your business, for your life, is to know what you like to drink/what quenches your thirst; to always have a good cup of you on hand; and to experience the joy of living from the flavor of what you’ve got going on in your own cup…just the way YOU like it.
Joyfully surround yourself with those who can get down with the flavor of what you’ve got going on in your cup. And with that same joy, let everyone else go so that they can be free to do the same, choosing for themselves whatever cup, whatever flavor, satisfies their thirst.
BE free of everyone else’s tastes.
BE your own flavor.
BE in love with the taste you leave in your own mouth
BE in joy with what you’ve got going on in your own cup.
BE … ILLUMINED!
